Trail running at night? The athletes took the starting line at 830pm to run a night trail race, the Barclay’s Moontrekker,
I was the onsite clinician at the start and finish line. Some runners needed to be seen pre race to get taped up or injury advice. Post race care included taking care of
ankle sprains, quadriceps strains, contusions and cramps. Most clients were iced, taped, massaged or had their joints mobilized. During and after the event, I had the pleasure of meeting and treating the BMC Race team. The 2011 Tour De France winner, Cadel Evans and Head of sport, Troy De Haas, were participants in the race and came to the office afterwards for an appointment. Thanks guys!

At the beginning of October I was able to attend the 4Stripes camp in Hong Kong with Special guest instructor Lucas Lepri, a seven time world champion at the black belt level.
The camp set up as a two-day seminar. Two sessions per day of BJJ with sessions of wrestling, capoeira and mindset training.
Are you a corporate staff member that cares about the health of its staff?
I currently help plan, prescribe and execute wellness days for large corporate companies. We look at the company staff as individuals and speak with them one-on-one to answer and address their health and wellness.
Staff are the most valuable assess to a company. As a Chiropractor, I visit one of the largest banks in the world and do onsite assessments and treatments. Occupational health of a corporation is one of the biggest concern of its staff. 74 percent of staff believes their health is deteriorating (AIA, 2017, see below)
Recently, I organized a health event with workstations that address health biometrics, movement and sleep in the workplace. Each participant had 10-15 minutes of one-on-one contact with a qualified health professional.
Do you host corporate events? Would you like a health professional to visit your office? Feel free to contact me.

Dr. Mike Chivers allowed me to observe and speak to him on how he adapts the Functional Anatomy Seminars Paradigm when making clinical decisions on sports injury.
I was able to observe 6 cases in the time I was in the Sports Clinic. Here are some brief descriptions of the cases below:
Case 1- hip paib, achy but less sore, running box jumps causing pain into testicle region, cueing for cat cow was done to reduce rib flare and also practice diaphragm breathing for rib mobility.
Case 2- Ankle sprain from sports. FR done on ankle musculature
Case 3- right hip pain when walking
Case4- bilateral elbow, rotation irritation in forearms, lack of supination, elbow weighted cars and pails to supination given to promote motion
Case 5- left knee shattered, wiring 2x and pinning, 5 procedures, 6 month post total knee replacement, patient reported dry needling after 1 session brought the lowest pain levels down since knee replacement.
Case 6- Right knee pain and irritation in older female, difficulty walking, FR to knee
Special thank you Dr. Chivers and Sports Performance Centres for having me.
Did you know your fitness facility or gym can have a Chiropractor?
A Chiropractor at your facility can be YOUR clinical expert to address biomechanic problems quickly and effectively. I hosted the 2nd annual Espada Studio Sports injury Clinic. The goal of this onsite clinic was to address injuries sustained during training, answer questions on how to prevent injury and to give some of the members some TLC. The largest health and fitness facility in Canada, has onsite Chiropractors to address pain, posture and sports injury.
This onsite visit consisted of prompt and concise 15 minute mini appointments. During the 15 minutes, memebrs were able to ask a question, have a body part assessed and provided either active or passive care deemed necessary and relevant. Cases were hip, neck, knee and lower back conditions that were more long standing. During the class there was one acute knee sprain and strain that required immediate attention.
Do you own or are a member of fitness facility or gym? Ask them, who their clinical expert is ?
